About Willy's Auto Repair Shop
Willy's Auto Repair Shop is an auto repair shop in San Francisco, California. It is listed at 943 Harrison St, San Francisco, CA 94107, which places it among the local businesses of San Francisco that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In San Francisco, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across California vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ6 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Willy's Auto Repair Shop at (415) 771-8805; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is willysautorepairsf.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 37 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in San Francisco.
San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I recently encountered an issue with my heater in my 1988 Jeep. Another shop had replaced the core, but they failed to solve the "no heat" problem. Seeking a resolution, I found Willy's shop. After explaining the previous work done and the lingering issue, I left my car with him for the day. True to his word, he called me at 4:04 PM to say that my Jeep was ready for pickup. Upon my arrival, Willy informed me that he had removed the HVAC control unit and discovered a corroded connectorβsomething no other shop had investigated. Additionally, he noted that the heater hoses were installed incorrectly. I admit that was my oversight, but it's worth mentioning that no other mechanic had caught that error. After six frustrating months trying to diagnose the problem with two different mechanics, Willy resolved it in just one day. I will definitely return to his shop in the future. If you're facing similar issues, I highly recommend giving them a try!

Everytime I drive past this guys shop I get annoyed but it was a lesson learned. Over $18k spent on my old school and 2 years of him having my car and not 1 receipt to show for the work he claimed to have done. I have a βrebuilt motor & transβ that hasnβt even been broken in yet. Iβm afraid to take it out and get stranded somewhere. Brand new starter thatβs busted. 383 stroker that I canβt even stand on. I couldnβt even sale the motor and put a fair price tag on it because I have no clue whatβs been done to it. The tranny took a crap on me immediately & after taking it back to him the 3rd time I just took it to another shop (shout out to Alex over at precision auto in San Bruno). The old schools lined up outside his shop are false advertisement.

Willy's was recommended to me and I couldn't be happier with the service! I have a 77 F250 that was stalling out after it warmed up. Willy personally took the time to figured out the issue and got her fixed. He followed up with me today to make sure she was running well. Thank you, Willy!

Willy auto . 16,000$ I paid to fix anything that might be wrong. The car started up great but after willy did work on my car back to back. My car breaks down back to back. He got me a rebuild Alternator and a rebuild transmission then I break down two hours later and then fork out some more money. Two years have passed almost and I've got 6hour of driving out of the car. Now he's telling me , I need a brand new alternator and a brand new transmission again. Sixteen thousand dollars later. He's horrible and he trying to get me in so he can keep my car for two months wash it and fake a fix. He's a rip off. He a cool believable con artist.

Guillermo seems very knowledgeable on older cars. The shop had Camaros, Impalas, old VWs, Ford Galaxies and the like. We brought our VW beetle for a possible blown Head Gasket.
